About Us

We are an Indie Coffee Roastery think — Death Cab but for coffee — that are also part cultural auteurs (*Geeks), that design and tailor our offerings with the aim of highlighting the nuances of the coffee product. The focus for us is on the various contexts which coffee is consumed and how that carries over into the experience of specialty and more importantly, it's accessibility across the board.

There's no coffee YOU shouldn't be able to drink, if brewed, dialed, blended and served in a way that works for you.

this year, we were lucky enough to finally do an event with none other than #portacoffeestand / masa-san, alongside @_gordangolden_ ( our official / unofficial ambassador ) and @o.yakato ( mayor of koenji ). it was definitley an impromptu idea but with everyone's help we were able to have a great time, brewing for the koenji locals and friends. A MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who came all the way to support us!!!

TOKYO VLOG 25.10.25 | Checking out the Magazine House Fair in Ginza ~ a celebration of famous Japanese, pop culture/cult classic magazines.

Featuring a brew bar hosted by BRUTUS with a rotating roster of Japanese speciality coffee roasters over the 15-day event. For the final day, it was Glitch Coffee on Bar with some interesting exotics and infusions (listed "innovation" type).

With outreach for green coffee supply running into many challenges this past year, the direct connection with farmers and means of making stronger relationships between the producer and the roastery has perhaps never been as important for our industry here especially. With so many micro-roasteries excelling in offering something characteristically unique, the strength of representation of coffee from its source as well as its current demand in the market plays a large role in the sustainability of supplier outlets.

Cobeans is one of the largest green supply companies, hailing from South Korea and working in commercial grade coffee supply heavily across East Asia. They recently launched their Oceania division and have a strong focus on uplifting the farms at point of production in order to produce specialty lots outside of the commercial-grade quantities, for more specialty-tuned markets such as our own. With some of these samples tasting stellar and a great palette such as Chris’ (Cobeans ANZ Director) able to work flexibly within our community, we’re excited to see where this goes and what we can serve out to y’all in the hopefully not ok distant future! Thank you Newy Fam—our third Home—for having us once again!

[Mike] My tied-top café find of 2025 is this hideaway in North Melbourne. Amazing coffee brewed indiscriminately for the local community and coffeenistas alike. Scrilla, novella and vinyl adorn the space without cluttering like someone’s house that’s conscious of being guest friendly.

Then there’s the Cinnamon Buns/Scrolls/Rolls. The best I’ve ever had. Witnessing these cinnamon rolls go from prep to cut, to being pulled out the oven and carefully dripped is like watching ‘06 Rey Mysterio. It’s fanatically trained-perfect technique coming off as effortless theatre.

Our newest seasonal blend is out now, in retail spaces with friendly faces and online on our store! The reception in pre sales was quietly amazing as we were elated with the response after the overwhelming one from Lollipop 🙇🏻‍♂️

Our origin highlight for this Blend is the Honduras Honey Geisha , the procurement of which signifies our direct partnership with farmers operating along Yungas Road, popularly known as the Death Road, a 64-kilometre long route linking the city of La Paz with the Yungas region of Bolivia.

Best sipped under moon and stars but a bit of tart sweetness in the morning doesn’t hurt either.

One of the best feelings for us is being able to connect our coffee within places and spaces where we grew up and with communities which we share personal connections, particularly outside of the Industry of Specialty Coffee.

The Place is a new café located on Eastwood’s Korean side, east of the railway and the Parade. The owners who grew up in the area and within the Sydney “K” community wished to bring the Poké bowl-summer cafe and diner to the locals. The food focuses on bibim (meaning “to mix”) dishes, with a lot of fresh, in-house made ingredients, and slight twists on traditional recipes (my favourite, yukhoe/beef sashimi, pictured).

The beverage menu is all cold/iced (*RN) drinks and we are proud to have our Housie Blend, Black Mamba featured in their cold brew + CB mix drinks. We can’t wait to see their expression of our coffee. Make sure to pay them a visit for one of our favourite new feeds in town 🫰🏼
